Enzz FarmTrack Live

Grow more from every acre and every animal.

FarmTrack helps a farm produce more: it keeps records the owner can trust, shows where output leaks away, and, next, plans the work of the season. Dairy and sheep farms use it today, and crop planning has just been added. Farm budgets and advice come next.

Live for dairy and sheep farms on Android, by access code. Crop planning is new and being proven. The vet portal works in any browser.

Why a farm product

Most of Kenya's food comes from family farms, and most of them produce far less than the same land and animals could. The gap is rarely the land. It is knowing what the crop or the herd needs and when, doing it on time, and seeing where output is lost.

That is the same gap every Enzz product closes: not the same work a little faster, but the same person, the same acre and the same animal producing more. A farm that plans its season, feeds by the stage of growth and catches losses early grows more, earns more, and hires more.

FarmTrack connects to the rest of Enzz where it helps the farm: workers through AOIS, selling and bookkeeping through Biashara, input sellers and buyers through Pata. Those links are planned.

Who it's for

Dairy and sheep farms where the owner can't be in the paddock all day and wants to trust what happens there, and, now, crop farms of every size.

Owners

See everything, approve what leaves the farm, lock the days, and get the evening summary. Run more than one farm from the same app.

Managers

Run the day: the team, approvals, the cash book, registers and reports.

Workers

Big buttons for the day's jobs, in plain words, that work without signal. A mistake can be corrected for 15 minutes.

Vets

A link and a code from the owner open the farm's animals in a browser, for as long as the owner allows. Treatments and death checks carry the vet's licence number.

Milk buyers

A monthly link to enter what they received. Differences are shown to the owner, not argued about.

Inspectors and lenders

Registers and reports printed from records made on the day, with a history that can't be rewritten.

The gap it fills

Without itWith FarmTrack
Records kept in a notebook, filled in at night, or not at allRecorded on the phone as the work happens, with the time, the person and, where it matters, a photo and the location
An animal goes missing and the owner hears days laterEach animal is scanned out to graze and back in; one that isn't back raises an alert the same evening
Milk “spills”, and the buyer's figures never matchLitres per cow per session, checked every month against what each buyer says they received
An animal leaves the farm and nobody knows who let it outThe gate needs an exit pass the owner approved. Without one, the owner's phone rings
A treated animal is milked or sold too soonThe withdrawal date is worked out from each treatment, and the animal carries a warning until then
Registers for the inspector take a weekendThe seven sheep registers and every report export to PDF or Excel in a minute
No signal in the paddockWorks offline. Records go to the farm when the phone finds a connection

How it works

  1. The owner opens the farm

With an access code from Enzz: add the animals (import a spreadsheet, or print tags and scan them) and invite the team by email.

  2. The team records the day

Scan a tag and record what happened: grazing, milk, feed, health, births, the gate, the daily checklist. Sign the day off with a PIN.

  3. The owner sees it all

The dashboard, approvals, alerts and the cash book, from anywhere. Lock each day once it is signed, so it can't quietly change.

What it does today

For livestock, dairy cattle and sheep, and now for crops.

Animals and tags

  • Register an animal by scanning a printed tag
  • Front, side and rear photos, breed, birth date, mother and sire
  • Import a whole herd from a spreadsheet; replace a lost tag

Daily work

  • Grazing out and back in, animal by animal
  • Head counts, feed and water, milk per cow and session
  • Clock in with a selfie; the daily checklist; the end-of-day sign-off

Health and breeding

  • Sick reports with photos, treatments and withdrawal dates
  • Deaths recorded with three photos, verified by the vet
  • Matings, pregnancy checks and births

Sales and money

  • Sales the owner approves, with an exit pass for the gate
  • The cash book, with feed, vet costs and sales added by themselves
  • A monthly check with each milk buyer

Registers and reports

  • The seven sheep registers and the sheep performance report
  • Inventory, movements, milk, feed, deaths, sales and variances
  • The worker scoreboard and the audit log, as PDF, Excel or CSV

Team and phones

  • Owner, manager and worker roles, invited by email
  • A worker's new phone waits for the owner's approval
  • The app locks after 2 minutes; open it with a PIN or fingerprint

Crops (new)

  • The owner's own crops and fields, with the acres of each
  • A calendar per crop that follows the farm's adviser: an agronomist, extension officer or KALRO guide
  • Each planting's tasks dated from the day it was planted

Crop work on the day (new)

  • Today's, overdue and coming tasks for each person
  • Done with the inputs used, hours and people, or skipped with a reason
  • Growth checks with pests and disease; a serious problem alerts the owner

Harvests (new)

  • Quantity, unit, grade and losses for each planting
  • Progress from planting to the expected harvest date
  • Close a planting as harvested or failed

Records you can trust

The point of FarmTrack is that the owner can believe the records. These rules make that possible.

  • Nothing is ever deletedA wrong record is voided with a reason. Every change is kept in an audit log that nobody can edit, not even the owner.
  • Workers never see moneyPrices, buyers and the cash book are for the owner and managers. The lock screen never shows an amount.
  • Each farm is sealed offOne farm can never see another's records. The separation is enforced in the app and again in the database itself.
  • No AI judging peopleAlerts come from fixed rules: a count that doesn't match, milk that differs from the buyer's figure. A person checks before acting.
  • Location only at the momentRead when someone clocks in, takes animals out or brings them back, reports a death or lets an animal out. Never tracked in the background.
  • Anonymous means anonymousA worker can message the owner without being named. Nothing records who sent it.

Where it's going

The next phases take FarmTrack to the whole farm. The crop calendar and checking in each task are built and being proven; the rest is planned.

A plan for every crop

  • A calendar from planting to harvest, by the day and the week
  • What is due and when: weeding, fertiliser, top dressing, foliar feeds, spraying
  • Each task checked in on the day, with a photo if it matters

Nutrition at every stage

  • What the crop or the animal needs at each stage of growth
  • Feed rations for animals by age, weight and milk
  • Best practice for local varieties and breeds, in plain words

A budget per acre and per animal

  • Plan the season's costs before planting
  • Spending recorded as it happens, against the plan
  • What each acre, cow or flock really earned

Inputs and buyers

  • The nearest and cheapest agrovets for what the plan needs, through Pata
  • Buyers for the harvest and the prices they pay
  • Sales recorded with the produce they came from

The farm's work

  • Daily task lists for every farm hand, for crops and animals
  • Check-in and check-out at the field or the shed
  • Who did what, so good work can be recognised

Advice, when it's needed

  • Ask in English or Kiswahili: why are the leaves yellow, what should the calf get
  • A photo of a sick crop or animal, with what it might be and who to call
  • Suggestions only. The farmer decides, and a vet or extension officer has the last word

What it costs

A free trial

Every access code starts the farm with a trial. Everything works from the first day.

One plan per farm

After the trial, the farm pays one plan that covers the whole team, by M-Pesa or bank. The price depends on the size of the farm. Ask us.

Nothing is lost

If a plan ends, the farm becomes read-only: every record can still be seen and exported. It opens again as soon as the plan is renewed.

Questions

Does it work without internet?

Yes. Everything is saved on the phone at once and sent when there is a connection. The first sign-in needs internet.

Which phones?

Android 8 or newer, which covers most phones sold since 2018. There is no iPhone app yet. The vet portal works in any browser.

Can a worker change the records?

A worker can correct their own entry for 15 minutes. After that only the owner can void it, with a reason, and the audit log keeps both.

Who owns the farm's records?

The farm does. The owner can export them at any time. See the FarmTrack privacy policy.

How do I get the app?

Ask us for an access code. We send the app with it, and the owner sends it on to the team. The user guide takes you through every step.

Which animals and crops?

Sheep and dairy cattle are built in, with their categories, breeds and gestation periods. For crops, the owner picks from maize, beans, wheat, potatoes, tomatoes, rice, cabbages, kales, onions and Napier grass, or adds any other crop.

Will it use AI?

Where it helps the farmer: answering questions and reading a photo of a sick plant or animal. It will suggest, never decide, and the page will say exactly how it's used before it ships.
